I was just curious on how you managed to make a deck builder in fusion cause I've been struggling with finding a good engine/example for it :0 got any tips?

made it with lists. i used them just like python dictionaries (or arrays), in which i wrote all the info like card's id, name, description and so on. then i took another list and used it as a hand in which i stored ids of cards in my hand

I did something similar with lists and shuffling but i got stuck on showing the cards visually as the hand list updates I liked how it looked in your game 

i used many objects: one for the card itself, one for it's image, and a counter for it's price. then i gave images and counters a variable called card_fixed and then once i created a card i immediately gave it's fixed to those objects, so that i could make them be in the same position as the card

Very intriguing game so far!

This game needs goth girls squatting in the glades, or any type of girls.

Either they live in a house in the middle of nowhere, or roaming around aimlessly, or conducting some kind of ritual.

Maybe Witch reveal herself when you complete her quest? like collecting 5 fish for her?

the goal was to make them faceless so it wouldn't take time to draw it lmao

That was fun!

  • Wish I could afford that shuriken. Maximizing gold is harder than winning.
  • By the time I got to the boss, I worked out a simple failproof strategy. Maybe you want to offer more variety of cards/modifiers in base deck? Bone makes it unloseable, always kills the spawn.
  • Poor mouse, maybe it could do something different but I just used him as a breather to heal.
  • Removing cards is very strong - makes holding up the worst cards and cycling for heals better. Maybe increase gold bonus for faster clears?

I agree that getting money (it's called hemopoints in the game) is harder than winning, the fights are lacking extra features that would make it more interesting, but I will for sure add more things to it like items which can be used at any time in the fight (you can already see 3 grids for them in the fight and you will be able to either buy them in the shop or get from ?s).

I'm also planning on adding Taints: the passive effects that have negative and positive effects during the fights. You will be able to get rid of them at Witch's glade.

Note that the better the card is, the more hemopoints you will get. You can see all info on Google Sheets. Increasing gold bonus for faster clears doesn't seem like a good idea, but I may do something like the more you kill the more you get.

The mouse was intended to be an easy enemy, mostly for the first forest, but there will be harder enemies in other forests later in the game

I will also add different playable characters with different starting decks, so there will be different strategies to play with some of them
